Pasilla Bajio Chilli Seeds (c.annuum)
Originally from Mexico, and also known as Chilaca. The plant produces huge white coloured flowers and grows to around 60-90 cm. Fruits grow pendant on the plants and ripen from a dark green to dark brown colour. Later fruits can measure in excess of 15 x 2 cm. A prolific producer, in the right conditions.
Fruits are a low heat and are said to have hints of Hazelnuts and raisins, with a rich, slightly smokey flavour. Pasilla translates to "little raisin'. Traditionally the fruits are toasted and sprinkled in sauces and are a major ingredient in Mole sauces. Incredibly versatile, we have even had them topping a baked potato and they give a really nice background heat.
10 Seeds approximately per pack.
Our seeds are mainly open pollinated, natures way. Occasionally accidental crosses occur.
