Pimenta Durga Red F3 Seed (c.baccatum)
Originally from the United Kingdom. Another brilliant, Jay Northalls creation. This one is thought to be a Bhut Jolokia x Neyde Orange, then subsequently crossed the following year with Pimenta Bode. Some of the parentage can be clearly seen in the fruit shapes, with some resembling Naga and other more Bhut Jolokia. Fruits are large and at this stage can vary in shape and size. Some were 8 x 3 cm in size. Fruits are intensely aromatic, with a fruity smell and have a medium heat, which builds over a couple of minutes, there is a floral taste, which is lost with cooking. Under the right conditions these can be very prolific indeed.
A great sauce making fruit.
Plants can grow to 80 cm tall and 90 cm wide or more. These can be quite early to fruit, and ripen quickly, for a c.chinense.
10 Seeds approximately per pack.
Our seeds are mainly open pollinated, natures way. Occasionally accidental crosses occur.
This is a potentially unstable hybrid. As with all new crosses, there is a chance of variations in fruit colour, size, shape, and texture.
All of our seeds are from fruits grown by us. All of our photographs are photographs of our own fruit and subject to copyright.
