Prik Jinda Chilli Seeds (c.frutescens)
Originally from Thailand. These should produce tall plants, with a good quantity of long green fruits, which grow erect on the plant. Fruits will ripen to a bright red colour and reach over 11 cm in length and are often slightly curved.
Fruits are medium in heat and incredibly versatile. Fresh fruits have a clean, almost 'grassy' flavour, which is quickly replaced with heat at around 4 or 5 out of 10. Great for roasting, frying or making home made salsa. Fruits are used at both the green and red stages. Can be used in the Thai, Tom Yum soup dish. Usually found dried in markets in Thailand. A quick growing frutescens variety, that would happily grow outside in the UK. If you want authentic, this is it!
