Sili A Top (PI 188803) Chilli Seeds (c.baccatum)
Originally from the Philippines. (Sili meaning chilli) These plants tend to fruit early and are productive. Sunlight can paint these fruits quite beautifully adding purples, browns and black to the fruits skin, before final ripening. Fruits ripen from a light green to a golden orange. Fruits are a medium, sweet heat and dry very well, making a nice powder. The fruits are sweet and slightly fruity with a nice, short lasting burn. Strangely the fruits have a hint of carrot taste to them, making the rather unique. Fruits can grow to approximately 14 x 1.5 cm. Plants will need support or staking.
Flowers have the distinctive white and green/yellow markings. Plants can grow to 180 cm tall and 80 cm wide. These can be quite early to fruit, and ripen quickly.
The PI number, simply refers to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Plant Index number under which the variety is listed.
