Zapotec Jalapeno Chilli Seeds (c.annuum)
An annuum variety originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. Apparently these were originally brought back from Mexico by the late Beth Boyd. Plants grow quite tall for an annuum variety, but manage without support. Plants produce an abundance of early fruit, which hang pendant on the plant and ripen from a dark glossy green to a vibrant red colour. Most fruits appear to exhibit a small amount of corking on the skin.
Fruits are approximately 8 x 2.2 cm in size, but vary. Fruits are thick skinned and very juicy. These are smokey sweet, yet a really nice medium heat. A really pleasant tasting chilli, and one of Beths favourites.
A nice easy variety to grow, which should do well outside, given the UK weather. Very useable in all forms.
10 Seeds approximately per pack.
Our seeds are mainly open pollinated, natures way. Occasionally accidental crosses occur.
All of our seeds are from fruits grown by us. All of our photographs are photographs of our own fruit and subject to copyright.
